KITTCH

Live streaming for the food obsessed

For food lovers and chefs, the pandemic was an existential event. As restaurants had to stop service, chefs were forced to innovate for their livelihood - streaming from their home kitchens, creating meal kits and home delivery services, and figuring out how to serve their fans from afar. For diners forced to stay home, the hunger for quality food and food content only grew.

In that moment of crisis, entrepreneurs Brian Bedol and Elana Karp saw an opportunity to help their culinary communities, by creating the first live streaming platform dedicated to food creators and enthusiasts.

FIRING UP THE KITTCH BRAND

Working from inception with the founding team, we ran a quick brand sprint to define the initial Kittch brand, bringing a chef’s energy and passion through the Kittch logo and a sense of play into the illustrated reaction emojis and clams, which is Kittch’s virtual currency.

SOFT OPENING TO RAVE REVIEWS

The initial vision for Kittch from the founding team included a robust feature set for live streaming, private events, to facilitate cooking classes and similar digital events, chef and brand collaborations, and a native, digital currency for tipping. We worked closely with Kittch and their development team to bring this vision to an MVP version and help shepherd it through initial pilot launches and rounds of user testing with chefs, brand sponsors, and audiences. Post-launch, we worked with the Kittch team to scale the platform as they built up their internal team and capabilities.

As studio food lovers, being able to work on a platform as fun and good-hearted as Kittch, with the chance to engage with some really wonderful and creative kitchen personalities was a treat!
