A new pole dance studio made to empower individual expression.
Goodside Studios is a new pole dance studio located in the Lower East Side. At Goodside, the goal is to move in a way that is true to yourself, and to build the strength and skills for you to do so. Classes build confidence and self-expression, all are welcome.
We collaborated with founder, Tze Chun, to bring her vision to life. Tze identified the artistry in pole dancing and wanted to create a space that felt different from other pole studios in the city. A studio space that welcomed community and celebrates individuality.

A custom wordmark was developed for Goodside, expressing a playful confidence. The bold palette and cheeky messaging embrace positvity and power. The creative direction captures intimate photography of dancers in both graceful and powerful poses to show the artistry of pole dancing.

Branding and creative direction was led by Elizabeth Carey Smith, in collaboration with Wednesday Krus and Beckie Choe. Additional collaborators include the architecture team Office of Tangle Space, Adele Makulova for photography, and SK Studios for photo creative production.
