Center for Just Journalism

Transforming public safety reporting and education

We partnered with the Center for Just Journalism to launch their Curriculum Resource Library, a robust resource for journalism educators who are teaching the next generation of reporters and editors.

It offers hundreds of readings, discussion questions, teaching ideas, and lesson plans designed to foster a new approach to public safety reporting. One that is rooted in fact and lacking in sensationalism.

The resources are built around four major themes: sourcing, story selection, stylistic choices, and verification. Students and educators can explore each theme or search for specific topics (i.e. crime statistics, mugshots, police sources) or skills (i.e. pitching, diversifying source lists).
